About Dr. Michael Steingart

Dr. Steingart has been a practicing surgeon for the last 30 plus years. His ability to diagnosis has helped patients with many different musculoskeletal ailments. Dr. Steingart is now concentrating his efforts on Non-Operative Orthopedics. His main area of concentration is finding the pain generator, and defining the problem that exists so the patient will have the knowledge to decide what their best options are. In this sense Dr. Steingart is full filling his mission as a doctor, by teaching the patient and then giving options.

Dr. Steingart’s vast education in orthopedics can serve the patient in many ways:

  1. Identifying the pain generator.
  2. Mapping a game plan, to get the patient the right specialty for the problem or problems.
  3. Serving as a second opinion. So many doctors refuse to do second opinions. Dr. Steingart will review the medical records, review the radiology or other testing and discuss options with the patient.
  4. Guide the patient through difficult times. For example, if a patient does not feel he or she has improved after undergoing surgery, Dr. Steingart can serve as another voice, offer other treatment option, or suggest to treating doctor what to do. Dr. Steingart has no problem calling the treating doctor or doctors, and suggesting other modes of treatment. His experience allows that.
  5. If insurance issues come up during or after treatment, Dr Steingart can do a peer review for a patient, and write a letter, or suggest to the treating doctor what to do. Many times a second opinion to offer an insurance company will help the payment process.

Surgery is not the only solution. Non-Operative Orthopedics offers a non-surgical approach that can heal the patient. Steingart Orthopedics is about helping the body heal itself.
